Our average class size is kept small, with approximately 20-25 students per class, with three straight classes per grade.

We have a dedicated team of 40 teachers, including six specialist teachers and 20 learning support officers committed to providing high-quality education and support to our 490 students.

Yes, we offer regular professional development opportunities both internally and externally to support the growth and advancement of our staff members in line with our school’s objectives.

We provide ample onsite safe parking for staff members, and our school is conveniently accessible by buses and trains for those using public transportation. Our closest train station is Caroline Springs Railway Station.

While participation in extra activities is optional, we encourage staff involvement in various extracurricular activities. We offer opportunities to engage in social clubs and staff gatherings each term, including trivia, bowling nights, and our ‘Super Nova’ teacher recognition awards.

Staff meetings are held twice weekly to facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, ensuring everyone stays informed and aligned with school goals and initiatives.

 

We offer a range of opportunities for professional development, including mentorship programs, incursions, workshops, conferences, and further education support.

 

Our planning process is collaborative and comprehensive. Each grade has a year-level lead teacher who runs weekly sessions involving curriculum mapping and lesson planning, as well as regular check-ins throughout the week. New teachers are given a mentor to support them in settling into the school environment, and each teacher receives release time for individual planning and administration.

 

We have a proactive approach to behaviour management, using the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework, which focuses on positive reinforcement, clear expectations, and collaboration between staff, students, and families to create a respectful and supportive learning environment. Additionally, we have an onsite psychologist and a well-being team to support our students.

We prioritise open and transparent communication with families through regular newsletters and assemblies, parent-teacher meetings, online platforms including Compass and Seesaw, and various events throughout the school year.
